Halper family

Logan Darrow Clements here reporting from the front line of the eminent domain wars, on Thursday July 20, 2006 @ 12 noon. I’m inside the Halper home, at 4 Bella Drive, Piscataway New Jersey.

At 1:30 pm today, the government will go before a judge seeking authorization to use “any force necessary” to remove the Halpers from their home. We expect the judge to give them this authorization and for the sheriff of Summerset County and the police of Piscataway Township to smash their way into the Halper home sometime this afternoon or evening.

A year ago, millions of Americans were outraged by the Kelo vs. City of New London decision. However, a week ago I put out the call for people to show up at the Halper farm-and very FEW did. You still out there? The problem of eminent domain abuse has not been solved, except in a few states where legislation has outlawed the practice. If you live within a few hours of Piscataway New Jersey, please express your outrage of eminent domain abuse, by showing up to protest this eviction.

The eviction might occur this afternoon, evening, Friday or later. If you care about saving property rights in America, please help the Halpers as they are on the front line of the battle.

If you live to far away to be here in person, please spend just one hour on the internet or telephone contacting organizations in New Jersey, New York City, or Philadelphia that might encourage their members to show up.

Contact national and local radio talk show hosts and encourage them to call Clara Halper to give a live interview from the eviction location. Clara Helper’s mobile phone is 732-433-1995. In a few hours, both the Halpers and I maybe arrested by the police and taken to jail! It will all be in my movie as long as the police don’t steal our tapes.

If you want to support the Halpers or Logan’s movie about eminent domain abuse you can contact Logan at 310-593-4843.
